Key Responsibilities

·Responsible for maintaining all mechanical, electrical and electronic equipment including heating and ventilation, also the general maintenance of the hotel complex.

·To organise and set up preventative maintenance programmes for all electrical and mechanical equipment including general building works.

·To supervise maintenance staff and contract employees who are carrying out minor building work, electrical and mechanical installations.

·To supervise and liaise with all contractors. Write specifications for all electrical, mechanical and associated building works complying with the local Government Regulations.Also inspects and signs for contractor works upon satisfactory completion.

·To schedule planned and preventative maintenance programmes on all electrical and mechanical equipment throughout the hotel premises.

·Analyses and appraises the effectiveness of how each member of the engineering team is performing and submit recommendation for any additional training courses that are required to develop them further.

·To decide and agree with the General Manager the priorities on all electrical and mechanical projects, i.e., minor or major projects.

·Submit monthly reports to the General Manager on all engineering matters, work completed and in progress.

·To attend the daily morning briefing and Department Heads Meeting and report on all work in progress or delay or any technical problems that may occur.

·Ensures that all administration files are kept up to date including as built drawing prints, specifications and equipment technical maintenance manuals.

·Recommends and evaluates energy conservation programmes and ensures they are carried out and also investigates wastage.

·To conduct monitoring and reporting of energy costs.

·Prepares and submits to the general manager his department annual repairs and maintenance budget, including FF&E and any major or special projects that may be required.

·Accompany storekeeper on monthly stock takes.

·Monitor Planned Maintenance against bar chart on a weekly basis.

·Control completed works registers and monitor progress to order stage where necessary. When purchase orders are completed or when the job is complete then copies of the completed works register should be sent to Financial Control.

·Monitor speed of reaction and provide a job completed or outstanding report on a daily basis.

Qualification/Requirement

Education and Experience Requirements: ARABIC nationality - WITH KSA IQAMA and with KSA EXPERIENCE

·Bachelor or Diploma or college degree in Electrical or Civil engineering preferred.

·Minimum of 5 years maintenance experience and 3 years supervisory or manager experience in engineering hotel department.
